Immature Or Just the Way I' Am?

Ok, so in two months I will be twenty and I' am questioning who I' am a great deal. I still like Anime(A lot), RPG Games, Writing short stories and trying to write novels but mostly about the supernatural as well as reading supernatural books i.e Vampires, Immortals, Zombies, Witches et cetera. Anyway, Even though I' am a pretty laid back person, a lot of the things I do and act make me wonder if it's time to grow up or if it's fine because it's just who I' am. This is probably a very controversial debat since those raised in a proper mature setting would say 'Yes, grow up! Your too old' where as others will say "Nah, it's cool, your you". MY daughter turned 2 exactly a month ago and she's now having irrational fears?

I feel like i need a makeover! overall advice anyone?

Hey! I know how you feel LOL I need a huge makeover. I often am broken out, my polish is always chipping (if I am wearing nail polish, which is a rare occasion), my hair is an ANNOYING wavy (unless I put it in a ponytail, sometimes it looks cute, like right now, or of course, I can straighten it, which I have done like 1 time this school year). I am also around 20 pounds over where I should be for my height, but everyone says to give or take ten, so I am around 5-10 pounds overweight (technically). I need to lose about 30 to be at my goal weight. ;) OK So to help you! Ask your orthodontist about wearing your retainers only at night. Unless your teeth move really quickly (mine do sometimes grrr) or you are still in the first month of wearing them, it should be ok to wear them at night only (they usually only make you wait a month before you can wear them only at night, unless yours are to straighten your teeth, not just KEEP them straight). Regarding the gles: there is nothing wrong with them if they look cute on you! My BFF has gles and I think she actually looks better with them some times! It all depends on your face and what type of gles you have. If you look good in them, I would say save up money for contacts. If your parents will pay for them, that's great, but if not maybe you could ask them to chip in and pay a certain amount, like half (or however much they are willing to pay). I am a jeans and t shirt plus jacket and sneakers girl, so I know what you mean! I never wear skirts either. If you feel uncomfortable wearing them, I would say to wear one with leggings, or little shorts that other people can't see (just in case anything happens lol I do this when wearing skirts), or if you just don't want to wear skirts at all (like me), I say go with skinny jeans! They look great on tall people! Even I wear them, and I am short! Haha I wear kind of flowy tops that are long with them, because I think it looks more balanced with fitted clothes on the bottom and loose (but not in an "I got too big of a size" way) on the top. As for waxing your legs: I would say shave them. Waxing is painful and you need to let the hair grow out before you can do it again, but you can shave every day if you would like! Probably part of the reason you feel lame is just because some people are insecure. That's me! But if you wear cute shorts/ 3/4 length pants and hold your head up high, people won't think you're lame if you are confident in who you are. No you're not a sad, sad girl. You just had a little room for improvement, like EVERYONE does, especially me! ;) If you feel plump, I would say just don't eat obvious junk, drink lots of water (everyone says that but it really does help), and exercise when you can. Even simple things help. It is really fun to join a sports team at school to get in shape, or even one outside of school! You will make new friends this way as well! Good Luck!!! ;)

It will be hard to deal with them unless he can forgive them for their past sins against him. They may be quite challenging for him to deal with in any case, if they continue to harangue him over his "lack of success." If they are forgetful, or feeling guilty about his finances, they may always be critical of him. Elderly folks often fixate on certain topics & just talk about them over & over. As far as I know BPA is only in hard plastic bottles, not the drop ins as they are a more flexible plastic. Usually you can tell if they have a little triangle on the bottom and in the triangle there will be a number 7. BPA is an estrogen producing thing. They don't know what effects it can have besides making puberty come sooner in girls. Boys can get the estrogen and who knows what that will do. As far as I know it only happens when liquids are warmed in the bottles.

Could my nephew be gifted?

Maybe it is just bias, but I have noticed a few things about my nephew. He has a large vocabulary and is stringing words together, which is a normal level for a 2 year old, but a few incidences really surprise me. I was wondering how much a child should be able to ociate/ remember at that age. For example, he says go away, but he only ever uses it in context - when he is cranky, and really does want you to go away. The thing that really blew me away, was today when we were shopping he wanted to look at a table so I picked him up. He pointed at a Ford hat and said 'Shaun!' which is my brother's name - it shocked the hell out of me, since my brother is a mad ford fan and has a Ford flag in his room. I was so shocked that a) Zane recognised the symbol, and b) that he remembered that it was ociated with Shaun. Just to be sure it wasn't the colour he picked up on, I showed him a number of blue things today, none of which he said Shaun to, but later walking past the stall, he said it again when he saw the hat. I don't spend anywhere near enough time with him to make any more observations, since they live away, but maybe there is some other signs I might look out for if he is gifted? Thanks!

I have a five month old. He has had congestion for about a month now. I brought him when it first started and all the doc told me to do was use saline drops and suction his nose. I don't know what to say about the flow but as for cramping I find that using a hot water bottle or a hot compress works really well. Also taking painkillers other than just the standard advil or tylenol. I prefer taking something called tylenol PMS which has the same active ingredient as midol.

Hello mommies, have a few questions once again. My DS is 7 weeks old and he is having to take karo syrup to help him poop. I gave it to him with his formula two days ago. Once in the a.m. and once in the p.m. However after the second time when it was time for him to drink again, he gave us a hard time to drink the milk. I am afraid he got use to the karo syrup and did not want that bottle because it did not have any karo in it. Can this happen in a baby so little? Can they already know a difference? The next day (yesterday) I gave him the karo in one ounce of water each time. However, I have read and heard that you should not give a baby water. What do you ladies think? Also today he has had two feeding so far and he has not wanted to finish all his milk. Can it be that he is filling up on the ounce of water? He also has silent reflux so they have him on Zantac. He would gag alot and he would scream and cry every time he would drink milk. We have been dealing with this for three weeks now. When he started on Zantac a few days later it got a little better but then again yesterday night and today he is back to screaming in pain when he is drinking. He also kicks is legs out a lot and gets really stiff while drinking. He spends a big part of the day whining and kicking his feet a lot. He is also still doing the pushing and struggling to poop even though he alteast does poop thanks to the karo I am sure. Can it be that he also has colic. He does sleep well at night, only waking up once to feed. However for the past three days he has been waking up at 2:30 to feed then again about 2 hours later he wakes up complaining and kicking his feet and pushing and all that stuff. He spend about 2 hours like that until he finally lets the poop out. Is it that I need to give the Karo syrup more days to take effect? Could it be the water I am giving him? Or can it be the formula. He has been on Genltease for 2 1/2 weeks. Should his stomach be use to it by now. I spoke with the doctor on Monday and told him how that Zantac has been helping because when he does gag or even spit up now atleast he does not cry. But I mention to him how he is still fussy and struggling to poop and he told me to give him karo and let his stomach adjust to the formula that it will eventually adjust and I wont have to give him the karo any more. Do you ladies agree? I just hate seeing him suffer and hearing scream when I am feeding him.

I've been with my fella for 7 years and for the past 3 years or so, he hasn't laid a finger on me! I ask him "can we do it tonight" and I get "yes" with a huff!!! He says he loves me everyday so don't understand why he won't make love to me? Around 3 weeks ago I "caught" him watching on the net and getting his pleasure that way!!! Why House Keeping department is the BackBone of a Hotel?

I work at a hotel and yes house keeping is very important but one department that will destroy hotel operations if not run propertly is laundry. I have worked for 4 &5 diamond hotels and if laudry is not operated properly all hotel operations suffer. House keeping cannot turn rooms, restaurants cannot turn tables and banquets doesn't have enough linen to set a room. Room cleanliness is important and can destroy a guests opinion of a hotel. Without linen the whole process is slowed down and house keepers end up cutting corners. Just as in any department you have to have the tools to do the job.

XP computer keeps re-loading cannot access Safemode!?

Hello, my father's computer fails to load windows properly. The problem that we have is, the computer starts loading at the windows loading screen then it restarts and goes back to the BIOS screen. I have tried using safemode in order to restore the computer to an earlier date. This had happened last night, whereby my father turned the computer off and then tried turning it on again and this is what had happened. I've checked on websites to see how they can help me and many say using the xp cd. However, a family member who we do not speak to installed everything for us and he has the disks. She would fit in with the emos or the goths but instead she hung around with the other hot girls. She didn't talk to or even notice guys like me because she was too popular. Janessa also had this dark side about her. One day at school she came in and she looked really aggitated. Janessa was storming through the hallway stomping loudly. Today she was wearing a black top and a black skirt along with fishnet stockings and beautiful black boots. The boots were platform with a 4'' chunky heel. They were knee high with laces on the front and side zippers. Janessa alwyas wore this ankle bracelet around her left boot but it was not visible today as her boots were covered in mud. As she stormed by she bumped the shoulder of this short kid beside me. She didnt stop or say sorry or nothing. She just kept storming down the hallway. I didnt think that shorty was going to say anything as he kind of looked like a push over. But sure enough he yelled "What the **** is your problen ya ******* hooker!!". She yelled "You cant run forever. I'll find you!" With me in her hand she ran after shorty. She saw hm running thru the field. Her huge shadow blacked out the whole field. That short kid knew she was coming. Her gigantic platforms pounded the ground hard. She then picked up her leg and stomped dowm right in front of her victim. He fell right on his *** infront of the towering gothic boot. Then Janessa took me and tied me up in the laces of her boot and said " If you like to stare at my boots so much you can just stay there. I'll deal with you later." Then Janessa pressed her huge heel down onto shortys legs crushing them. He yelled out in pain. I went through the training several years ago. It is confidential listening, as someone talks out and comes to their own solutions. There is a leader that the Stephen Ministers answer to. I never used the training through the church, although the training was supported by them. I wanted to be able to be a better listener to those I was coming in contact with during the week. It led me to go for more training. I now do volunteer work, and the listening is very important. The training is not about denominational beliefs. Should I stick with 18 credit hours?

Those cles all at once are very standard, and should be fine. The only reluctance I have is that, to be frank, if you are taking cles like that you are still at the nub stages of engineering education so while every engineering student takes 16-18 credits a semester filled with engineering cles, this might seem overwhelming to you this one time because you have not taken any hard cles yet I would think (these are not hard either, but dynamics can often be a weeding cl as a heads up so it takes a lot out of you). If so, just know you will have to get used to it sometime, and to not let it get to you, just try your best. Try not to get overwhelmed, you should be fine if you have figured out how to work hard all ready, if not then this is going to be a hard semester for you, but again: everything will be just fine.

I have several fruit trees lining my fence in my backyard as well. There are also vines growing along the fence in some of the areas - some of the vines are aggressive growers and need continual trimming to keep them out of the fruit trees. We haven't had any problems with the citrus fertilizer affecting the vines, if anything it seems to help them as well.

How do I finish a log that I plan on using for an inside end table?

I recently obtained a great piece of oak that I want to use for a side table in our living room. I believe it is a piece of red oak log that is about 2 feet in diameter and roughly 3 ft tall. I need to figure out how to dry it out, get any insects out of it and ultimately varnish it. Can anyone provide me some direction? I have never done this before. I don't know how to dry it out, kill any insects or what to use to varnish and seal it. I have some deck stain. Will this work? I also wanted to get any thoughts on whether I should take the bark off or leave it on.

What is your opinion on modular homes? Pros and cons?

Modular homes are a great idea for building quick. My father used to work in a modular home plant and always said that they were as good as any stick built home. He is a carpenter and basically said a modular is a stick built home, just built in a factory. You don't get the exposure to the elements like you would a stick built home. Also it can be built in 8-10 weeks compared to 8-10 months. To build a modular you can be in your new home within 6 months, as compared to a year with a stick built. Modular homes are also ALOT different than mobile homes (trailers). Mobile homes depreciate because of the steel frame. An actual modular will have a wood frame not steel. I know many people who confuse the two. In our area modular homes DO NOT depreciate and actually end up being valued around the same as existing homes. I have done alot of research on this subject because my boyfriend and I currently own 21.11, acres and we plan on starting the process of buying a modular home after the holidays! If you decide to go for it just make sure you visit more than one dealer and ask lots of questions. Both my brothers built modulars in the last year, and one got a great deal while the other got a bad deal. They went to different dealers. Just like with everything else, do your research!

My dog (miniature maltese) choked on a bone once and i had to stick my hand down her throat and pull it out. Try that first and then take your dog to the vet. Raw bones are good for dogs but cooked bones are not. The reason is the cooked bones splinter and cause just this sort of problem. Don't panic, just try to pull it out on your way to the vet (get someone else to drive you) Hope your dog is ok. let us know what happens.

I think it's really good. I think if you had a different title, so that it could mean something different for everyone else, that would make it better. Something like "Forced Connection". Windows Live, user error, or is it just retarded?

Recently I tried to open my windows live messenger and it told me there was a required update. So I clicked the update link and downloaded the installer. Once the installer finished I opened it to do this "required update" and then it says "You already have windows live!" Well no **** Sherlock. I tried it a few more times each with the same result. Finally I decided to do it the old fashioned way, I went into my computer and uninstalled the messenger entirely. Went to the windows live website, hit the download link, opened the installer, and guess what? "You already have windows live messenger!" Frustrated I searched my entire computer for anything windows live messenger related. Deleted all of it and removed it from my recycle bin for extra certainty. Clicked the installer, and same thing. They would gladly get me several other programs, but the Messenger portion says "You already have this." I even tried downloading an old version to see if I could update through that, but every time it just says "You already have a newer version of this!" I'm frustrated.Is there anywhere else that my computer might be hiding the messenger? Or how would I go about re-installing the entire thing over the top of the "version you already have" ?

I have known some that were, but growing up my mom was a SAHM, and she pretty much never got to rest. Am I Lactose Intolerant, Or Is It just Hysterical?

I don't think your hysterical. It's probably a form of lactose intolerance. I'm not fond of dairy products myself, but had been able to consume them for years until a few year ago. I get sick when I consume anything with dairy, your best bet is to stay away from such products. And if you are going to eat something that has lactose in it, take a lactase enzyme pill prior to doing so. There is a test for lactose intolerance that can be done, but if your body acts that way every time you ingest lactose, it's fairly obvious you shouldn't be eating it.

7 mo. old kitten stinks up the house...?

he is a Maine coon. we got him back in January. any change in his diet and he will have the runs for at least a day... so he is not given any table scraps. but we currently have him on a mixture of dry kitten food and dry adult hairball ( no kitten hairball) and he will get some canned food. and the same treats. but even if the litter box is freshly cleaned and he goes poop in there , buries it and gets out of the box you can smell it across the house. we have tried different litters to help with the odor and they don't do a thing. so could it be that he just has a super sensitive stomach and the food that we are giving him isn't easy enough on his stomach? I mean it is pretty bad when he comes running out of the room after he poops! HELP... the stench is horrible!

Weird head symptoms for months now, Any idea what it could be?

So for months now.. I've been going to the doctor what seems like every week. I've been getting headaches almost on a daily basis. I've noticed that the headache seems to be a pain in the middle of my head, that even when I walk can trigger the pain and then a headache develops. They are usually towards the right side of my head, the middle, or behind the eyes. With the headaches, I occasionally feel as if I have an air bubble in my head and the sides right above my ears feel a little weird. I've been getting floaters for awhile now more so than usual and I've been trying to wear my contacts less because my eyes have been hurting. I've also had post nasal drip the entire time these symptoms have lasted. My ears also have been popping a lot, or when if I listen to something loud I get the feeling of when you get water in your ears but constant. It kinda feels like one of my nostrils is harder to breathe out of. I fainted back in march so there's even a chance it could be a deviated septum, but I felt as if they would've found that already since I fell directly on my nose. I've had a catscan, chest x ray, lyme disease test, EEG, EKG, bloodwork, and a heart monitor and everything has come back fine. If you have any idea as to what this could be please let me know! I can think of at least half a dozen mattress stores in prime locations (high end strip malls, small buildings in upscale and high traffic areas, etc). I don't think I have ever seen any customers in them. I know these places are leased for thousands of dollars a month. With the employee costs, utilities, taxes and everything else, the overhead on running a store there must be close to 5 figures a month. I, personally, have bought 3 mattresses in the last decade (all of which have a 20-25 year warranty and none of which were more than $400). I ume that is fairly normal. So, how on earth can these places afford to stay in business? Any ideas?
