Why do so many Christians believe that noone has the right to oppose them, when they openly oppose all others?

The good folks in the Christian community who live by their beliefs, and allow others to do the same are far outweighed by those who continually insult and condemn everyone else to "hell". Makes me feel sorry for the nice folks who are ociated with those others. Opinions from the real Christians out there would be much appreciated. Thank you.
