Weren't people beheaded in England and France? Why do we condemn beheading as being "barbaric"?

-although I do agree with you that the treatment of prisoners was a vile act and the persons who commited these acts are war criminals - It does not justify beheading American soldiers or blowing up innocent civilians on purpose or anything related to terrorism . Every terrorist would , given the chance , kill innocent people, torture, behead, disgrace anyone who is not up to par with their religious standards - a very small percentage of US soldiers were involved in those acts which disgraced the entire nation . Also I am sure if you ask a french or english person today wht they think of the beheadings 200 years ago they would say it was barbaric and they are glad they closed the door on that part of their history . In conclusion ,although you seem to condemn the prison abuse you seem to embrace what the terrrorists do to get even . Two wrongs dont make a right we are after all American and better than that . We will not make the same mistakes again but it does not let terrorists off the hook for what they have done or are planning to do .
