If the question was a NEW one when you answered it, yes, it would have been by her choice. Questions can be put to voting after a 4 hour minimum. If it was an OLD question, it might simply have timed out (after 4 days of being on here). It will stay in voting for a minimum of 2 days, possibly longer, depending on how the voting goes. As to being in the first slot, this may be due to it being such a 'fresh' question and therefore 'younger' than any of the questions that went to voting by timing out. Check out how old the questions under hers are. That will answer it for you.
