Explain where the chromosomes have moved to during meta phase?

The centromeres of the chromosomes convene themselves on the metaphase plate (an equitorial plate) an imaginary line that is equidistant from the two centrosome poles.the even alignment is due to counterbalance of the pulling powers generated by the opposing kinetochores, ogous to a tug of war between equally strong people.
